Terms.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you ("you" or "Subscriber") and J19 Labs, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("J19 Labs," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of the ForStarters.io website, application, catalog, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, subscribing, or downloading any starter, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

ForStarters.io publishes a curated catalog of application starters — production-grade source code that you can download, modify, and ship in your own products. The Service includes the marketing site, the subscriber application, public per-starter pages, the changelog, and the in-product inbox.

The Service is currently in pre-launch. The waitlist signup collects email addresses so we can notify you when accounts and subscriptions go live. No subscription, no payment, and no catalog download is available until launch. Joining the waitlist does not create an obligation to purchase.

3. Accounts

When account creation goes live, you will sign in with GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for the security of your GitHub account and for all activity that occurs under your ForStarters.io account. Notify us immediately at security@forstarters.io if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you reside) to subscribe. If you create an account on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe, Inc. The current tiers and prices are described on the pricing page and are subject to change with notice. Renewal is automatic until you cancel.

• Billing cycle. Monthly subscriptions renew every month; annual subscriptions renew every 12 months.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods.
• Refunds. If you are dissatisfied within 14 days of your first paid subscription, email billing@forstarters.io for a full refund. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion and limited to unused, unaccessed portions of the subscription term.
• Failed payments. If a payment fails, we will retry according to Stripe's standard schedule and notify you by email. If the payment is not resolved, we may suspend access until the balance is paid.
• Taxes. Prices do not include taxes. You are responsible for any sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar tax applicable in your jurisdiction. Stripe will collect tax where required.
• Price changes. We may change subscription prices. Changes take effect at your next renewal and are communicated at least 30 days in advance.

5. License to the catalog

Each starter is licensed to you, the Subscriber, under the terms below (the "Catalog License"). The Catalog License is non-exclusive, worldwide, and continues for as long as your subscription remains in good standing. Source you have legitimately downloaded continues to be usable in products that were already deployed at the time of cancellation; the cancellation ends your right to new downloads and new deployments.

5.1 What you may do

• Use any starter to build products you ship commercially.
• Modify any starter to fit your product.
• Brand any starter as your own — remove our branding, add yours.
• Deploy each starter in production up to the active-deployment limit of your subscription tier, as described on the pricing page.
• Ship the modified code to your own customers and end users.

5.2 What you may not do

• Resell, redistribute, or republish any starter as a standalone product, template, theme, or competing starter pack.
• Sublicense the catalog or any individual starter to third parties as a development asset.
• Share your subscription credentials, GitHub installation token, or download access with anyone outside your organization.
• Remove copyright notices or attribution where they appear in original license files of bundled open-source dependencies.
• Use the catalog to train machine-learning models, build a code-generation service, or feed an AI dataset.
• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law, including export controls and sanctions.

5.3 Deployments and the honor system

Tier limits are based on active commercial deployments per starter. We do not embed telemetry, license keys, or runtime callbacks in the catalog — this enforcement is on the honor system, supported by these Terms. If your deployment count grows past your tier, please upgrade.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Interfere with the Service, including denial-of-service attacks.
• Probe, scan, or test the security of the Service except through our published responsible-disclosure channel (security@forstarters.io).
• Scrape or bulk-download the catalog beyond normal use.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.
• Use the Service to host, distribute, or develop unlawful content.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including the catalog, the marketing site, the documentation, and the ForStarters.io and J19 Labs trademarks, are owned by J19 Labs, LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the license granted in Section 5, no rights are transferred to you. Third-party open-source components bundled in any starter remain under their respective licenses.

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or contributions about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them without obligation.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, including failure to pay, abuse of the catalog license, or violations of Section 6. We will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure where the breach is curable. We may terminate the Service entirely on at least 90 days' notice, in which case we will refund any prepaid, unused subscription fees on a pro-rata basis.

On termination, your right to download new versions of the catalog ends. Your right to continue using starters you have already legitimately downloaded, in deployments already shipped, survives.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service and the catalog are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any starter will meet your specific requirements. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and auditing any code before shipping it in your own product.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, J19 Labs, LLC, its members, employees, contractors, and sub-processors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to the Service or the catalog, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless J19 Labs, LLC and its members, employees, and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, (b) your violation of any law or third-party right, or (c) products you ship that incorporate the catalog, excluding claims that the unmodified catalog itself infringes a third party's intellectual-property rights.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service is the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and the parties consent to personal jurisdiction there. Each party waives the right to a jury trial. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

13. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms. Material changes to the Terms will be announced on this page and, where appropriate, by email at least 30 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept the updated Terms, cancel your subscription before the effective date.

14. Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and J19 Labs regarding the Service.
• Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest of these Terms remain in effect.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
• Assignment. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failure or delay caused by events outside its reasonable control.
